ABOUT
Emily Vitar is a Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary artist working across film photography, writing, and gallery-based projects. Specializing in landscapes, portraits, and travel imagery, her photographic work is rooted in a love for the outside world, nostalgia, and exploration. She relies on natural light and rich textures to evoke emotion, drawing from her background in art and design to craft images that feel both timeless and immersive. Her approach is minimalistic yet intentional—shaped by an ongoing fascination with the interplay of light, texture, and place.
In addition to photography, Emily’s practice includes writing and conceptual work that explores memory, intimacy, and identity. Through her Substack, she shares personal essays and behind-the-scenes reflections on her creative process—often blurring the lines between image and word. She is currently building an online gallery and print shop to share the depth and warmth of film photography with a wider audience.
